    1. Is that what they are?? Thanks for letting me know. I’m learning the names of lots of flowers from other bloggers who share their knowledge with me. The pink is a beautiful color; so many shades of it all in one flower.

      2. The name is so cute! I have a picture of a yellow/ browinsh one that was next to it. But the picture came out too blurry to share. It was a super bright day and my eyes were glazed from the sunshine and trying to get used to wearing masks. I’ve got to try smelling them next time.
        Have a great weekend and take care! Hope both your grandbabies are well. Few of our neighbors (5 of them) had babies or are expecting. These babies will have special stories to tell when they grow up!

      3. Exactly, these babies came in a historic moments that nothing like this before and after. These parents must write down their stories and tell them when they get older.

      4. Life with small babies is hard! I wonder if parents will have the time or mind to write these stories. I remember life with a newborn going in and out of the hospital and a 1 and 1/2 year old in diapers who just had elbow surgery from falling out of his high chair.

      5. I know how it goes. My daughter has an online account to post photos every day and make notes. That’s how I track my granddaughters’ progress also.

  2. Beautiful pink flowers – my neighbor has peonies that are this same shade and on the cusp of opening. Based on today’s very hot weather and impending severe weather to boot, they likely will open, and lose their petals in the course of a few hours.

    1. This heat is terribly hot, isn’t it?! The past weekend was windy and now the heat wave is upon us. My poor plants in the container outdoors are wilting even with adequate water.
      There’s so many beautiful blooms out these days! Let’s enjoy them while we can. Hope those peonies hang onto their petals as much as they can.

      1. Yes, my neighbor’s peonies burst open yesterday in all the heat Esther. I was hoping they’d hang on a little until our mini cool spell this Saturday through Monday. We are back in the heat and humidity. I’m no fan of August for that very reason – we have been having really hot weather, especially over Memorial Day weekend – and my A/C went on the blink. The tech who was out to fix the furnace on New Year’s Eve forgot to attach a live wire.

      2. The peonies must’ve been beautiful! I’m always amazed at how they bloom and die and do it all over again.
        This weather pattern is bizarre for us too. It’s been a heat wave most of the week and now it’s cooling down. What a bummer about your a/c!! I seriously hope the tech gets that fixed ASAP. This is a very old fashioned way to keep cool but it helps a lot. Wet a small, think cloth with cold water and wrap it around your neck. I do this sometimes with my kids because the a/c air makes the air stale at home. Stay cool and well! Try out my suggestion if you feel too hot. 🙂

      There are so many pretty flowers in bloom right now. But with COVID, haven’t been able to venture out much to take more photos. That photo was taken on a rare walk to an open air mall. A handful of people taking walks like us.
