Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
Nice rocks, Esther!

That’s clever – I’d glue together the family – they are adorable!

Thank you Linda! I wish I could take the credit but it was inspired by my neighbor’s art. She framed a rock design of birds for her wall and I was motivated to try it myself.
Once I glue it, I’ll post the picture. First, I’ll need to get a shadow frame and all that jazz. Here I come, Michaels!

It was unique though – I liked how it represented your family. I could get lost in Michaels for hours!

Thank you! I’ll most likely frame it, but transferring it permanently will take me time. It took me lots of searching to find those smooth, flat stones.
Michaels is a dangerous place for me too; I have better self control now in buying less craft supplies. It was getting out of hand! Do you like Joanne’s?

I have not been to Micheals as much in recent years but used to spent a lot of time there. Back in the day (way back in the day), I made all my own clothes because I was tall and most pants and jackets were too short, even though I was not horribly tall, just 5′ 9″ tall. So I made all my own clothes and I was always at Joanne’s because there was one in a nearby mall, just six blocks away.

It’s so neat you know how to make clothes. My mom knows how to sew clothes and made some pretty dresses for me when I was younger. Oh I almost forgot: she made my prom dress.
It’s a valuable skill that is becoming a lost art. Joanne’s has lots of fabric to choose from. Michaels has more supplies than fabric.
I try to sew but the outcomes are not so great. Need more practice!
