Flower of the day: September 2, 2020

“Time is purple / Just before night.” ~ Mary O’Neill

We went back to the San Jose Rose Garden again this month and was pleasantly surprised at these lavender color roses, as well as other colors, in full bloom. To me, the color is soothing and tranquil: a spa-like experience with absolute silence and no rush to do anything.

It’s only the 2nd week of homeschool, but I already feel mentally and physically stretched. Maybe it’s getting the kids on board that we’ve got to start leasons and summer vacation is over. I’m thankful I can do this with my kids yet the reality is demanding!

Thank you Cee for hosting this challenge! Have a wonderful start to this new month and upcoming autumn season.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. Thank you! Lavender is a gorgeous color.
I am hanging in there and working out logistics of homeschooling and living. Being hangry doesn’t help either.
I will hang in there and remember that this is a special season to be with them. 🙂

  1. Gorgeous roses Esther! I’m so sorry to hear about your computer troubles the past couple of weeks. Computer problems are so frustrating! My husband, is also our full-time IT support. I registered the kiddos for a couple of “engagement opportunities” via Zoom. We are scheduled for “Rockin’ Yoga” and 3 Nutcracker dance lessons. We haven’t done much with Zoom before, besides VLRM while we were living in the RV. I’m hoping it goes as smoothly as possible!
I am feeling very similar to how you describe. Only two weeks in and already I’m exhausted. Why is it always so difficult to get the kids on board? [sigh] I will keep you in my prayers for an easier week after the long Labor Day weekend. 🥰

    1. The computer troubles frustrated all of us and took longer than usual to get started. And you know how impatient kids can get?!
Those are good classes for the kids. I hope your kids enjoy them and you get a break while they are in class. It’s a unique experience to live and homeschool in the RV.
Let’s hang in there! So tough to raise and teach these little people. Thank you for your prayers and I’ll do the same for you. It’s going to be super super hot this long weekend; no breeze, just lingering hot air.
Take care and enjoy this weekend!
