Flower of the day: January 26, 2121. Flower shrubs

Bright pink tassles on leaves

Spotted these flower bushes on a sunny and cold afternoon. We’re anticipating rain this week with freezing temps. Flowers are still blooming but wondering how the storm will affect them. Spring, come soon!

Thank you readers for visting and have a great day! Thanks again to Cee for hosting this flower challenge.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. Thank you and you’re welcome!! It’s interesting how much prettiness you can find in nature just outside your doorstep. Sometimes I feel like I need to go somewhere far to take special nature pictures, but I realize it’s right where I am too.

      1. that i think is a lesson many folks learned during covid – and we all need to remember that more
and by the way – that reminds me – in a few days i am going to be doing a five day photo challenge and we have to invite folks to join each day – and i was going to invite you on one of the days – and it can be travel photos locally or from past trips –
then you would (if you wanted to) post for five days and invite others (also optional and some folks just invite their followers in a generic invite)

      2. Covid is teaching us a lot of lessons about life, people, faith, and resilience. Whew, I wish the learning didn’t have to be through this difficult experience worldwide. But really, there is natural beauty all around.
Your photo challenge sound fun and interesting. I would be happy to join and thank you for thinking to invite me! Will you have more instructions the day you post? Let me know when to look out for it.
Have a wonderful Wednesday evening and take care. Take care!

    1. Thank you!! I’m glad you like the picture.
I read the headline that part of the coastal highway fell off into the ocean. Can’t imagine how strong the waves would’ve been during the rainstorm. How do you fix that collapsed road?! It’ll take years.

      1. Yes I did like it – the picture just showed the highway washed away – that scenic highway. I would imagine it would take years as well. Part of the problem is trying to preserve that natural beauty with no barriers blocking the view. It will be tough I should think.
