Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. I wish spoon sizes like this existed for delicious, creamy, calorie free, and healthy ice cream! I’d eat it everyday, maybe a daily meal. lol. Wouldn’t that be nice?!
Thank you for the link and for thinking about me!

      1. Yes, it would take good going down – that’s for sure. My mom and I loved ice cream, but we’d always have frozen yogurt in the freezer as it was healthier (supposedly), but mostly for “medicinal purposes” as my mom used to get heartburn. It was instant heartburn relief. 🙂

      2. I’m lactose intolerant that’s gotten better over the years. I used to get terrible headaches and stomach pains with anything dairy, but it’s manageable now. I rarely know when the dairy will affect me or not, so I just go for it. That’s probably why I always carry chewable Pepto Bismol with me. hahahah. But really I do.
Frozen yogurt is delicious too and if it was for medicinal purposes and the doctor said it’s ok, bring it on! I have heartburns too sometimes and they are unpleasant. When I was in college, I had an esophagus ulcer (didn’t even know that was a thing) and I was in terrible pain. I couldn’t swallow; every bite and sip would singe my insides. Anyways, what a digression from ice cream talk to ulcers.
Yes, I love ice cream and frozen yogurts! Do you know some yogurt shops have purple yam flavor? It’s just the right amount of sweetness and the purple is so pretty.

      3. My mom suffered with heartburn for years and had the OTC Pepcid … thank goodness she got a stronger medicine later as everything would bother her, not just tomato and she loved Italian food, which was lots of tomato dishes. She loved tomatoes this time of year as well. That does sound painful – take care of that so it does not cause you more problems down the road Esther. I didn’t know about purple yam flavor for yogurt. I am behind the times for this trend!

      4. Those diet restrictions are horrible and when you know that you cant eat it, my goodness, the more you crave that thing. Glad your mom got stronger medicine for heartburn relief. Was the stronger medicine Zantac?
Yogurt does sound healthier than ice cream and it probably is. But the toppings you put on the yogurt could quickly add on the calories. If you go to a yogurt shop, try the purple yam flavor, if available. Let me know how you like it!

      5. Yes, she just ate the frozen yogurt plain and said it tasted icier and thus more refreshing for the heartburn than icecream. She was on Pepcid AC OTC for years and it no longer helped. The doctor put her on prescription-strength Prilosec, but it does have some side effects (but I guess all meds, prescription or otherwise, have side effects). I will let you know … purple yam sounds very different.
