Succulents from my neighbor’s front porch. I love their pale color and cluster-flowers. She’s only had them a few months, and they’re getting plumper by the day. Looking forward to see its growth. Good job, V!

I complimented my friend’s windowsill of 3 potted succulents making her laugh out loud. They were all fake, fake, fake!!! Love them.

hahahah, I know what you mean! Fake ones are so realistic these days. But then you find real ones that look fake too. When you find that realistic looking succulent, buy multiples!!!

Happy that it was a good reminder! It’s a thought that crosses my mind often in teaching my kids. When one things works for one child, it doesn’t resonate with the other.
Share your garden analogies…from a veteran teacher, you’ll have deep insights.

Hi – thanks for the encouragement – and I did start a draft of garden analogies for a daily devotional – have the template and about have the entities in there – but then put it in a pause folder and – ****guess it has been percolating****
And I have a bunch of books that “works in progress” and so I just trust God that He will show me which ones to work on and when .
And maybe not all of the projects will pan out to be books – but the gatdnen analogies I have collected might be at 500 now – so I was teasing in my thoughts saying that I could have Two of them by now – but maybe when I go to add the rest of the entities I’ll be able to pick the really good ones.

I hope God gives you direction on which books to invest your time and talent. You can’t go wrong in letting God guide your work.
500 garden analogies?? I’d love to read about that and everybody has different interpretations of how a garden means growth. Ok this is the nerd coming out in me…that would be an interesting read resonating for educators!!

Appointed – and I pray a lot / for family daily and all that – and then also about where my energy is focused – and so I do trust that he leads and guides for exactly what is needed and isn’t it good news that he “gives us the desires of our heart” ? So fixing my eyes on Him first and foremost – and i guess a takeaway from this mention is to remind you that you should keep little notes and Takeaways recorded for years later (or not) – but even if I never do anything with my drafts of this and that – I know the creative process is churned. And so some of those ideas were what led to other ideas –
Okay – I still have a copy of avian friends for ya – not sure if you got my email?

I like those succulents and the analogy as well. My mom loved cacti and had two windowsill dishes of cacti for years.

My neighbor has a green thumb. Love to see them when we go for walks. This kind of succulent is very pretty and earthy.
I remember you saying that your mom loved cacti…was it the one that grew flowers?

She had one that bloomed Esther – it was a barrel cactus and it had a tiny flower on it – pink I think. The rest of them were just plain succulents. She liked the Old Man Cactus best with the white hair.
