Flower of the Day: 1-4-’22. Fungus

The fungus growth on the tree bark below is Lichen, one species of fungus: another name for it is black stone flower. It’s said to be commonly used as spice in India for meat or vegetarian dishes. So much in nature is edible, if only you knew what it was and how to safely consume it.

Thank you Cee for hosting this challenge and thank you readers for stopping by my blog! Hope you all have a great Tuesday and stay safe. ~ Esther

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. I know…you gotta stay vigilant to what you gather and eat in nature. It’s a dangerous activity; or if someone is into psychedelic experience they may be less reserved. Many have hallucinogenic properties. Yikes

      1. Indeed! The last thing you want to do is end up mingling with the COVID crowd at the hospital if you can help it. I’ve not walked in four days due to treacherous ice from on New Year’s Day snowfall for the very same reason.
