Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. Those buds are very small and growing wild underneath a bench. Usually that place is covered in sand/ dirt but when it rains there’s lots of fresh buds.
It’s barren everywhere else though. Few months and those flowers will be everywhere.

      1. Amazing they grow in such bad conditions sometimes. We have a small flower, like a ground cover, called “Snowdrops” and the first ones come out even before crocuses. I have taken pics of some at a house I pass while walking … they are sometimes covered in snow, they are that hardy.

      2. They often show their heads while snow is on the ground, just like crocuses. I’ll have to take a photo if it snows while they are open. I took some pictures today of Flowering Kale which were still in good shape, but snow was all around them.

      3. Here is a crocus in the snow Esther. I will have the flowering kale on Monday. I have to upload the photos over the weekend … I have all kinds of pictures that took many hours to go through and them pair up with the narratives I write the day I take the walk … so why did I go out and get more photos to make myself have more to do? Hmm. Here is a crocus and they come up very early and also come in purple and white:
