Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
Nice light

New growth on these big coniferous trees?

It looks like it. They were so tender, light, and flexible. Smelled nice too.

It’s so dry where you are living Esther, but when we have a good Summer rain and everything is moist and dewy the next day, the evergreens smell heavenly.

It is nice Esther. My late neighbor’s husband drank iced tea and she grew mint. Every time it rained, especially when it was humid, the yard smelled like peppermint.

That sounds lovely! I would love to grow something so well that it can grow lush and big. I still haven’t had a healthy harvest of basil. I’m looking into getting a potted plant of basil, started off with leaves. The seed thing doesn’t work for me. Big dreams….but no harvest. lol

The only thing I ever grew from seeds is grass (and I mean the kind you mow in the front and back yards). 🙂 And one time I planted sunflowers – one time only. Next Summer get sunflower seeds for each of the kids and have them plant them. If you get the tall variety, it will make fun pictures. The kids will get a kick out of it … do one for you as well. Yvette Prior and I were going to plant sunflower seeds this year … it was too hot and I didn’t Do it just for kicks.
