This rose tree in our community is growing tall and blooming luscious roses. I wonder how tall it would get if left alone. But knowing the gardeners, this rose tree will get sheared soon only leaving its thorns. I understand pruning is beneficial for more blossoms, but the process seems brutal.
“The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns; the pessimist stares at the thorns, oblivious to the rose.”
– Kahlil Gibran

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

The rose color is pale pink and oatmeal white. I thought it was a nice perspective to take the photo form behind, Thank you for your comment!

I’ve never seen a rose tree before – how beautiful! I always liked that quote too and it fits what you said about removing the blooms and exposing only the thorns.

Roses are amazing and I find so many kinds are out there. It’s like a rose bush on a thin trunk.
Thanks Linda, I’m glad u like the quote.
