Ramblings

This is strange of me, but I haven’t had much motivation to write these days.

Much of my time has been filled with homeschooling lessons or getting into a new groove with it. My hip pain also returned with a vengeance and every step I take makes we wince. It’s constantly reminds me that my body hurts. Not an ideal way to go about my days.

Other than that, we are all well and waiting for autumn. A new season will bring a nice respite from this massive heat wave and bring new adventures!

I hope you are all doing well. Have a great start to a new week and thank you for stopping by! – Esther

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. Hip pain is getting better…it comes and goes. Gotta admit that it’s an annoying pain when it flares up.
Hope your homeschooling is going great and you are well. Autumn will be here soon. Can’t wait!

  1. Sorry to hear about your hip pain – hope it is easing up a little since you wrote this post at the beginning of the week. Is school in high gear already – no school days off until Thanksgiving weekend?

    1. It’s lessened a bit, thankfully. Icing seems to help.
School is in high gear and we’ve been consistent with our work. Hoping we keep it up! Elliot, my reluctant writer, is taking a writing class with a really nice teacher; he seems to enjoy it. I hope he makes some strides with a subject he detests.
Our schedule is pretty flexible but yes, Thanksgiving is our major weeklong break.

      1. That’s good – ice is better than heat? I am trying to remember what my mom did for her sciatica and thought she used a heating pad combined with a topical cream. I know the orthopedic doctor told her the strongest OTC cream to use was Myoflex. I just Googled around and didn’t see it (nor on Amazon). Maybe thy discontinued it. My friend Ann Marie, who walks an hour daily, is sidelined by hip pain right now and getting steroid injections and using an OTC rub called Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel. Hopefully your pain gets better.

That is great – is keeping a journal part of his writing class? Maybe he’ll turn into a blogger one day.

Thanksgiving seems a looooong time away to enjoy that break. Sigh.
