At the San Diego Zoo, we finally got to see a Tasmanian Devil in real life. They were on a trail we rarely passed since it’s inaccessible via the tour bus route.
This animal looks like a small to medium possum with a pointy tail. This one was running around the enclosure and then laid down to rest in the dirt. They are small, vicious, and carnivorous predators they are.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
Fiesty little guys. Almost extinct. I saw one.

One of my work colleagues was nicknamed ‘Taz,’ even though he wasn’t nearly as energetic as the animal!

Of all the times we went to this zoo, this was our first time finding this exhibit. We usually do the bus ride and walk around the middle area, so I had no idea the Tasmanian devils were here. The Wombats are right next to them too.
It was a cool exhibit!
