    1. They are very sweet and seem low maintenance! For a week we bunny sat for a friend and it was a great experience for all of us. First time having a furry friend at home. So of course, we’re crazy about getting our own. But not gonna happen. Still fun to think about. 🙂

      1. I used to own a really cool rabbit named Elvis, he looked like Elvis’s hair, if it escaped from his head. He lived in a hutch, but also was trained to run around our yard and not go away.

    1. I wish Jo! The smile on that bunny is precious.
      We still talk about adopting bunnies or getting a hamster. End of the day, we’ll probably just stick with the fish we’ve been caring for for about 4 years.

      2. We have had our share of fish drama and heartaches! They are small but have personalities. Some are bullies and we had to isolate for the protection of other fish. When they are reintroduced to the regular tank, they withdraw and discontinue their antics. We have an assassin in the tank now…took a big chunk of out of our small tetra.
        This is year 4 and slowly gaining more confidence about fishkeeping.
        Sorry to hear about yours…they are so fragile. Goldfish?

      1. Allergies are a bit of a bummer. I grew up with dogs in the home and it wasn’t until I moved out that I realised one of the reasons I was perpetually on antihistamines.🤪

      2. Oh my, that must’ve been difficult to have been on antihistamines for that long!! Maybe it’s a good thing you didn’t realize till later, so that you could enjoy your pet’s companion. Glad to hear that antihistamines worked for you! I

  6. Bunnies are so cute – I had a white one named “Scratch” when I was young. Bunnies and ducklings are going to be popular pets as we get closer to Easter.

    1. “Scratch” is a great name for a bunny! We want a bunny so badly but our allergies can’t handle it. Bunny rescue places have pages of them ready for adoption. We fell in love a few times and even considered what it would be like to have a bunny and live with allergies. Final consensus: no can do. Stories about people having to give up their bunnies because of allergies. We can’t do it.

      1. Most of those pet bunnies have long hair don’t they Esther? I used to go to an annual butterfly walk to raise money for local animal shelters and one of the shelters was for rabbits. They would bring a few bunnies in a cage so people could see them or maybe adopt them. They are adorable, but too risky with the allergies … I agree. Better to stick with the fish until the kids go for allergy shots or maybe even outgrow the allergies.
