Our nature walks (mostly a stroll around the block) help us see changes that occur in the same location. Observations made are collective, but since we find different things interesting to see, it’s fun to point them out to each other.
We pretend to be scientists in training and support all finds with affirmation… no matter how silly they are. Sometimes, that makes for our best learning and memory making experiences.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
such a fun bonding activity that allows you to connect with nature!

Nature walks are awesome for the many finds we make!
Lol, the show cover wasn’t what I expected. I cleaned the bottom of my shoe with a twig and wiped it off for quite a bit, but when I got to the car, Chris and the kiddos had the plastic bags ready for me. They walk faster than me…I take my time taking pics and what not, like cleaning off yucky dog poop. 🙂

Oh your comment about how you are able to take your time and take photos reminds me of how my hubs and others sometimes wait on me!
Pretty awesome

I love that a walk around the block allows so many delightful finds! And to play nature detective at that! Lovely!

Thank you Ju-Lyn! It’s more interesting to find new things in old places. I like how you described it…”nature detective.”
