Flower of the Day: July 10, 2021. Micro palm plant patterns

This plant grew from seed and it’s supposed to attract butterflies. It’s a very delicate plant that flops over when watered. But it manages to rise up and maintain its symmetry and pattern. I’ve been trying to find a way to describe each leaf and to me they look like individual long-grain rice or tic-tac.

Cee and all my readers, have a great weekend! Stay well in this mid-summer heat and thank you for stopping by. God bless.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

      1. That’s a good idea to support them with sticks. We have lots of take-out wooden chopsticks that would work nicely. But for the mystery grass I’ll need to get a tall stick.

    1. Hi Diane, thank you! It’s my first time seeing this kind of plant. It’s in a small herb pot and I think it may need to be transferred to a bigger pot. Didn’t expect it to grow this well. Do these plants bloom flowers?
You noticed my new layout! I’ve been holding out on buying a theme but just decided to go for it. Since I invested money into the theme, hopefully this will motivate me to learn about its features. Silly how the mind works…
I hope you are doing well and having a good mid July. Stay well and God bless. 🙂

      1. I simply enjoy stopping by your blog! To be honest, I’m not sure. If they do, I’ll be finding out from you, I’m certain.

Yes, it’s very nice. Haha! So true! I hope you’re enjoying the theme.

Yes, I am, thank you, and hope you are as well. Take care, my friend.

      2. Thank you Diana! That is so sweet of you to say. It’s the best encouragement for a striving blogger.
I am enjoying the theme; there’s probably so much you can do with it although I’ve only scratched the surface. Give me a year or two to incorporate features from this theme…lol. That’s how slow I roll.
I hope you are having a good July and resting up! You’ve got a lot of stuff in the works; hope you’re enjoying the process in bringing it together.
Please give Jerry a high-five from me and a “meow-hello purr meow from CA.”

      3. You’re utmost welcome, my friend!

Sweet! I’ll look forward to the little tweaking from time to time. We all have a pace that we work at, so no worries. July has been a blast! I trust that it has been a kind month for you. 💙

I certainly do, but by God’s will, I hope to get it done at some point. I just had him in my arms! I’ll certainly give him your greetings when I get him back. 💙😸

        Take care, my friend!

    1. Thanks Linda!! I can open a hat shop. Lol. I’m so behind in my Reader and replying to comments. We have people working on our kitchen floors and mold removal at home.. it’s been a major inconvenience. I’ll reply to the others soon.
      Hope u r doing well!

      1. Thank you – it is amazing what the brain sometimes does as you’re thinking of one word and put something else. I can proofread a post and not see something, then publish it and notice a glaring error. We need more hours in our day don’t we?

      2. We need more hours in the day and less to do…that sounds great to me.
Brain…just amazing what it can do and how it compensates for damaged brain cells. I think it’s funny when you’re thinking of one word but say another by combining the words together. Ex. hectangle (Ellis’ word) Ugh, now that I’m looking for an example, I can’t think of it. Yep…it’ll come at the most random time now.
