Dart’s new hobby: climbing to the top of the leaves

Dart will climb up these long leaves and perch himself at the top, looking around and sitting still. I got nervous the other day when I couldn’t find him anywhere in his tank, and there he was at the top looking at me with a silly grin. His climb down is precarious: he’ll grab air and plunk down hard. Thankfully, he seems unfazed by it. This is a new adventure he’s been taking every day. He’s about one year old now, since his one year anniversary with us is July 5th and he was only 3-4 months old when we got him. He’s a wild gecko learning new skills and exploring high grounds.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. I can’t believe he’s almost been with us for a year already! Even a year ago, I didn’t think geckos were cute but had to compromise for a pet. Now, I think geckos are cute, but Dart is cutest of them all. Biased much??

      1. We are as biased about our pets as our kids (says me who never had kids) but of course her birds were the cutest, best singers or talkers … well you “get it”. 🙂
