Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

      1. Same here! Problem is I stop too often. My kids have gotten used to this because they tell me to take pictures of interesting finds they discover. This lessens the guilt of slowing them down.
Thank goodness phone cameras are so convenient to use. Using a regular camera with negatives and getting them developed were a long and expensive process. By the time you’re done with the roll, you forget which pictures you took.
Wishing you fun photo captures on your walks!

      2. I walk around a lake with my husband. he is used to wait for me when I stop to take photos. He doesn’t go with me when I walk around the neighborhood.
My camera is digital and I try to download the photos within a few days.

      3. I know what you mean. My family just walks ahead of me, figures I’ll catch up to them. When I’m alone with my kids, my pictures come out blurry or some kind of photo bombing from the kids. I’m usually focused on them, so less pics are taken. When husband accompanies us, I’m way back there taking my sweet old time.
I have a digital camera too, which I should use more. It’s the downloading that stops me from using it. Too used to the easy function on my phone.

      4. I’m using my phone more now because it’s convenient and my phone takes good photos. It’s hard to take good photos when your kids are with you. You don’t want to take your eyes off of them.

      5. Phone cameras are so good now! They keep coming out with better ones. My husband was talking about a phone camera that takes pictures from various angles. Kind of crazy! I don’t think I need something that fancy, but it’s a cool feature to use if you want.
Hope you are having a good Sunday!

      6. Same here…only God knows. It’s a work of faith to keep afloat in these times and to believe that God has bigger plans that we don’t understand.
Stay well and safe over this fourth of July weekend!

    1. Thank you for your kind comments! I’m glad my comments made you smile. I’m a huge believer in the power of encouragement and verbal affirmation. (side note: I wish I did that for myself as much; hard to self-apply).
Thank you for stopping by and liking my pictures! Succulents are beautiful when they bloom; they create a flower, swirling pattern like petals. Nature shows us myriad possibilities of how things can be.
