Nature walk finds…around the block

Took a different walk route in our neighborhood this afternoon. Look what we found! Plump peas.

“Come forth into the light things, let nature be your teacher.” –William Wordsworth

Looks like sherbert ice cream colors. Garden rose.
Vivid succulents and the leaves are fleshy to the touch. The flowers open during the day and close at night. Called Hottentot-fig, sour fig, ice plant, or highway ice plant. It’s a creeping ground cover succulent.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. That sounds very pretty! It bogs my mind to think how many colors one type of plant can get. Did I make sense in wording that?!
Today I found a Lamb’s Ear plant in another place, and I was excited to be able to identify it. lol
