sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Last week Stripey here lost his friend Panda through a fin injury (attacked by another fish). :< We thought it would get lonely as the only small catfish, but the two large albino catfish, longtime residents of the tank, have been awesome team players. They naturally welcomed Stripey into their group.

These South American catfish are very peaceful and good community tank members. Although they don’t school like neon tetra fish, they tend to hang closely around each other, which is their protective mechanism.

Same here! When we first got fish, I didn’t expect much except for them eating and swimming around. But they are full of personality and have interesting group dynamics.

That’s sweet – good study on how all creatures interact with one another, no matter the size or species.
