Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
Yikes – there is a force to be reckoned with. That’s a beautiful purple flower!

First time seeing this kind of flower. I only saw buds the day before and the next morning they bloomed. It seems they bloom during the day and close up in the dark.
Their foliage is bushy and trails. Nature is always surprising us!

Interesting! I’d say do a Google image search but I did that with the grassy-like flower and look what happened? I just looked at “Moonflower” but don’t think that’s it. My neighbor had a Moonflower plant and it trailed along her deck rail. It opened at night and closed by morning and remained closed all day.

Today I saw a little opening from the long leaf…it looked like the head of a wheat. I looked up Moonflower like you mentioned and it’s not it either; they are gorgeous flowers.

They are beautiful – people use them to make a night garden, white flowers lit up by the moon. Hope you come up with a name.
