Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
The fish tank looks like a Monet painting … hmm.

I thought so too. This fish shop is a specialty store so lots of the tanks are open lid. The dark water was a great background for the colorful guppies. My opinion is the same that it looks like a Monet painting.
This is going to be a new adventure. I was going to tell you that E&E are all about breeding Gouramis. I remember you had 2 of them as a kid.
They’re Gourami has to be a honey one; that the peaceful kind. What an adventure it’s going to be soon!!
Hope you are having a good weekend and the weather is not so whacky like it’s been. 🙂

We had two perfect weather days for a change and now a week of heat, humidity and a rain or storm every day … but no severe weather yet which is good. That is funny about the Gouramis … yes, I had some that were a pale pink or gray color as I recall. Kind of nondescript, except for those big lips. 🙂 I’ll look forward to seeing their antics.

Wild weather!! It doesn’t sound easy keeping up with the constant weather changes. I hope the severe weather stays mild…
Gouramis are colorful and cute fish. We’re not ready for it yet. Our kitchen and floors are stuck in mid construction right now. We had dishwasher leakage that led to a multitude of problems. Insurance company is taking a while getting back to us on finishing up the work: living area is disarray. After we settle back in with new floors and after a long rest for me, then we will jump into breeding Gouramis. Sine they’re older they understand that we need to wait. At the moment, I’m at war with algae growth in the fish tank. It’s on! lol

Yes, do make it easy on yourself Esther and wait to begin your journey down Gourami Road. That’s good the kids understand the reason. Soon they’ll be so busy with school, so perhaps they’ll put it out of their minds for a little while longer.
