Little sprouts are growing well but small flying bugs are having a party in our containers. If I don’t water daily, the soil dries out to a crust; but if I water well, then it gets too damp. I’ve never tried mulch but this may be the spring for trying it.
We’re having an afternoon outing to Lowe’s for some solutions. Neem oil and/or mulch.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
I have done that with flowers – too much water/not enough. Sometimes it is feast or famine.

Love your expression…feast or famine. Very well said. That’s my problem with these plants!

The weather does not help in either of our cases.
