Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
Are those purple flowers Lobelia? They’re such a beautiful color!

Good question Linda! I don’t know if those flowers are Lobelia. Now that warm weather is in full swing in CA. the flowers are going nuts. It must also be the combination of the recent rains we got; hopefully there’ll be more of that in our drought stricken state.
Hope you are well and thank you for stopping by!

Beautiful color combo Esther – our Black-eyed Susans don’t usually bloom until August.

Landscape designers sure know which flowers to put together.
At first I thought it was a daisy bush, but the center looked different. There was another FOTD post I did of a Blak eyed-Susan and it didn’t look like the one posted here. It’s nice to learn about the variations for a species.

Years ago a neighbor did their gardens in only two colors/one type of flower: yellow and purple petunias. It was vibrant and striking looking and petunias are hardy.
