On our recent visit to the Bug exhibit at California Academy of Science, we were amazed to learn the intricacy of dragonfly wings. Each little part plays a special function. After seeing this, I appreciate them a little more. I don’t know how I’d feel about seeing a close up of a cockroach anatomy however.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

So cool 😎
I wish I lived closer to the academy of science. It’s such a great museum! I’ve only been there twice.

It’s such a great museum to visit! We love going there except the drive going there and back poops us out.

I’m reminded of the expression “on gossamer wings”.

Wow Linda, I didn’t even know an expression like that existed. Nice…looked it up and it’s a great one.

Glad you liked it Esther. I remember seeing the poem years ago and now seeing dragonflies flitting around or at rest, I am reminded of the expression.
