sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

I just found that same pineapple fish house at a thrift store for $1. I bought it feeling it was somehow familiar but I couldn’t remember where I’d seen it! 😂 We offered it to a friend (age 8) who got a fish tank for Christmas. 😊

You saw it here! lol. That was a great deal for the pineapple house. We paid around $9 for it. It’s a bright habitat in the tank and the catfish have moved in. Loaches have moved across the tank to under the leaves by the rock canyon (just a hiding rock). Hope your friend likes it in his tank.

He/she looks wary from its cave. 🙂

He has that serious face. Fish are funny creatures and their personalities are many. We recently got a small tetra along with some larger ones, but the small one hung around by the back of the tank by itself. They’re a schooling fish so that was weird, but it rarely interacted with the others. Few days later, it was floating on the top. Wonder what happened to it…shock in moving to a new tank, loneliness, not getting along? Who knows…

Hard to say but good thing it happened before you got too attached to him. Maybe fear?

The catfish didn’t pass. It was another one. Thankfully, all the others are healthy. Whooo, you’d be surprised how much work a 10 gallon tank requires.

I believe it – but it is peaceful to watch.
