My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Every time the mama bird comes close, the little ones begin to chirp loudly. The mama bird brings something in her beak and sticks her head in and out of the nest. And off she goes again!1 minute clip of mama bird coming to and fro the nest
I hope you can keep documenting them Esther … my Cardinal’s nest was so embedded in the bush, plus I could not use zoom too well as I could only back up so far and then too close was blurry. I see the parents back here, especially the male. I’ve been putting out shelled peanuts for them which I had on hand in case I could not find the shelled variety which sometimes happens. They like them – so do the Chickadees … now it is a race to see who gets there first. No pictures yet.

How exciting for you and the kids!
The baby birds know when the mommy bird is close. They chirp all at once and it’s so heartwarming to hear.
We were delighted!!
