Monochrome Monday: 7-10-’23. Fireworks on the 4th

For the past couple of years on July 4th, we see fireworks up and close at a Walgreen’s parking lot: no crowds, no traffic. I know it sounds like a bizarre location to go see fireworks, but fireworks boom on one side of Walgreens; across the street, somewhere in the middle of that block, is another fireworks’ bonanza.
I have no idea who these people are, but they do this every year.
It’s loud, booming, cathartic, and a colorful display in the sky. After standing outside the car for 50 minutes along with other neighborhood viewers, we reluctantly had to leave. Our ear drums couldn’t take the crackling and booming sounds any longer. The thuds set off our car alarm, as well. Too much of a good thing almost had me in tears from pain. Anyhow, it was a wonderful experience marveling at the fireworks.

      Thank you! It was a beautiful display of fireworks that night. My ears weren’t too happy with me though.
