My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Dart loves it very much and when he’s inside it, you can’t tell a gecko is in it. He knows how to curl up and can get into impossible poses! We put him in a cardboard box at night when the kids are doing homework, and last night he finally escaped! We got him right away, but he was about to go on a living room adventure.
It still scares you?! Yea, I can see that though. Before we got a gecko as a pet, I felt similarly to you.
But yep, he’s satisfied. He actually managed to escape from this cardboard box, so we moved him into an old fish tank (10 gallon) for just hanging out with us in the living room.

Very cool!
It’s a place to curl up inside when he hangs out in his cardboard box!
I’d say he’s living the dream!
Living la vida loca!!

Well, that is one lucky Gecko!
He loves his coconut hut! I didn’t post the new upgrade with Christmas lights and an ornament.

His souvenir from your vacation to Hawaii?
That was on his wish list before we left for Hawaii! Lol
I love your coconut hut Darling Dart! Now you can do the Hula Kahiko dance in your box patio to show off those muscular moves!! 🦎❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😃
I may have to wait till it warms up! My little body feels the cold too much these days. Thanks to Mama, she’s been monitoring the temp in my tank.
Awww, such a cute little hut!
