My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!

Lovely! All well, Esther?
Yes, Jo! All is well. Ellis is home and recovering and Elliot’s cough is on the mend too. Whew…it’s been quite a start to a month already. But happy to say that it’s still a good weekend.
Hope you are well too!!
Isn’t the outside of the hospital pretty with the lights? They hadn’t yet put down the Christmas trees inside, so it was extra nice to see them.
The lighting in this scene makes for a beautiful image. 😊
Beautiful image is lighting. Wonderful capture entrance to UCSF Children’s Hospital!
How your brave Elliott 💓?
