sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Hello there Darling Dart! You sure have a big grin this Silent Sunday!! Are you beginning to shed? ❤️🦎

Hello, Auntie TD! I’m happy to know that my smile makes others smile too. I was born with it! I think I already shed but I can’t tell. Usually, my family will take pictures and videos but this time none of that happened. I may have shed when no one was home or in the middle of the night. So I don’t know if I did or not. hehehe

So silent Sunday for Darling Dart. So cute look Gecko!

He is silent, that’s for sure! But when he is scared, he makes clicking sounds. When we first got him as a baby gecko, he’d scream audibly on occasion.

    Checkin’ you out Mom!

Since we’ve been reorganizing the room and making a lot noise in there, he’s more active and gives us that look. I can’t resist and will give him an extra mealworm or cricket while the kids don’t see. They think I overindulge Dart and give him too many fatty mealworms. But look at that smile?! lol

He has you wrapped around his little claw!

        It’s his cute smile!

You have to take more pics of Dart, like these:

OMG!! How cute. Thanks for sharing this inspiration with me…I’ll sure to share it with the kids. Do you have an account? If you do, follow me. We can be insta buddies.

I thought and the kids would get a kick out of this since you already do some cool things with Dart. I did just follow you and I am “Walkin’ Woman” although I have never posted there. I only follow a few people – I forgot Jill Wellington, a local photographer whose photos I have used at the holidays when I first started blogging. She’s very nice and she and I share the same birthday – she’s a year younger than me. She was a TV news reporter and retired and her husband bought her a DSLR as a retirement present and now she is a portrait photographer – second career for Jill.

Unbelievable … I just commented similarly to my last comment about my Instagram name and that I only follow a few people and I’m not on there much and WP would not let me post the comment as it said “duplicate comment – you already said that!” How rude!

I just sent you a link Esther. I think you said you are on Instagram. I signed up to see David Attenborough pics and I was telling someone about Jill the Squirrel (an adorable pet squirrel) and this reel popped up. I had to share it.

Oh, thank you, Linda! Yes, I’m on Instagram. My username is pinkwildflowerz

I did remember you were on Instagram as you sent me a few squirrel funnies from there. I just followed you, but to be honest I only opened up a profile there as a fellow blogger from the UK stopped posting at WP and she liked the idea of walking and photographing things, so she started doing that during Covid and asked me to follow her. I did, but I’m bad about going there. I was following “Jill the Squirrel” for a while and told someone about her posts and went to get the link. I never post there, but may do so down the road. I also follow David Attenborough and get notifications at my e-mail when something is posted … he has amazing wildlife pics. I am Walkin’ Woman.

It’s so cute how he smiles like that! 🥰

He just popped right up to the glass and stared at us! It was funny to see him this curious. Yes, I like his smile too, and it’s just a part of his face: that permanent smile.

    Why so curious

    1. singlikewildflowers Avatar

We were in the room organizing toys and books, making a lot of noise. lol. Dart had to see what all the commotion was about.

      1. DEVANG UPADHYAYA Avatar

        Ahhh
        So he notices

      2. singlikewildflowers Avatar

He’s becoming more alert, which I think is due to warmer temps in his tank and he’s getting older. In mid winter his lethargy frightened us.

      3. DEVANG UPADHYAYA Avatar

        Ohhh
        In summers he’s more active

      4. singlikewildflowers Avatar

He’s a desert animal and thrives in warmer temps. A couple of times we worried about his health because he was more lethargic than usual and not interactive. I bet he’ll be much happier when the temps go up!

      5. DEVANG UPADHYAYA Avatar

        Someone will be happy
        While others won’t

      6. singlikewildflowers Avatar

Yep, humans will wither from the heat while the gecko thrives! However, the kids tell me that he may need a cooling thing when it gets too hot. I don’t think it’s necessary, but we’ll have to see.

Get him a small fan, battery operated
