Dart associates these metal tongs for his treats, and he shows instant interest by looking up and getting into his hunting pose. However, he has terrible aim and misses whichever bug is held between the tongs.
Dart accidentally bites the tongs multiple times, or his mouth accidentally gets opened when my clumsy reflex releases the tongs while he’s latched on. In the picture below by Dart’s arm, you’ll see a cricket leg that fell off during the eating process.
And now the satisfied face of a full belly and messy napkin from his dribblings.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

Thank you! Dart thanks you too. He loves getting attention and being told he’s cute. Today I had hi sit on the window sill for some warmth, but he loves to play risky and almost fell off. He has no consideration for his safety when he’s out of his tank.

Thank you, Raj! Dart loves his meals and we’ve been spoiling him with extra crickets these days.
We’re doing well, but we could be better since we are still sick with a cold. It’s been going on for a few days.

Hello, Auntie TD! Yes, those crickets are too oishi (that’s delicious in Japanese) and worth the extra effort. I’m happy my smile is like a million bucks. I have teeth too.

Darling Dart, have you been eavesdropping on Japanese homeschool lessons or are your who-mens already speaking the language to you? I’m impressed that you learned it so quickly! Today I started teaching this new word to Yorkie when we had our meal. Oishi : Delicious ❤️🦎
