My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

We miss her and her cute flops! She’s doing well though. Heard she’s molting too these days like Teddy.

I’m glad to hear she’s doing well.

Thank you…she’s doing well. I heard that she also went through a heavy molting phase like Teddy this August.

Well now you have your own bunny. 🙂 Will Diamond still come to visit i.e. you care for her when her humans are away or will that be problematic as to Teddy?

Yes, we have our own sweetheart! Teddy gets so much attention. He’s very affectionate, so when we pet him while he’s in his cage, he will put his head under our hand and just sit there. If we stop petting him, he’ll boop us with his nose.
Since we have Teddy, we haven’t entertained the thought of hosting Diamond. First of all, we don’t have the space for 2 rabbit cages. Also, we’re not sure what sex Diamond is, so if she is a doe, then we’d have some issues. But maybe Diamond is a buck, then I don’t see how it’d be a problem.
That might be fun to see them play together if we were certain that Diamond was a buck.

That’s cute that Teddy boops you to get you to pet him again. I see in a few squirrel videos, where people have squirrels they rescued as pets and they love being petted and will put their paw on their human to tell them to do it some more. 🙂

Well, yes – that would be complicated to host Diamond if they were different genders – you could still go over to their house I guess. When Marge went on vacation, (when she was still feeling good and healthy before her COPD made it difficult to do so), I was in charge of her menagerie which at the time was a cat, fish and occasionally a bird too. The last bird ended up at our house as he refused to sing after Marge was gone visiting her mom in Arizona for three weeks, but she had parakeets before that. I went over after dinner on weekdays, then anytime on weekends.

It’s amazing to see animals communicate to their owners for extra petting or treats. They have their own way of communicating and you eventually pick up on those cues.
You did some animal sitting too, for 3 different pets!

Yes, I did and the cat hated me, but the cat hated everyone except Marge and she said that. I felt sorry for Missy and got down on the floor on her level and played Tiddlywinks with her cat treats and was rewarded with a swipe of the paw and a big scratch. To be honest, I’m not a fan of cats and am allergic to them, but I had/have allergy shots, so that wasn’t a problem, but the rest of the time I went in and put down fresh water and food, some treats, dealt with the litter box and did not visit with her in person. Marge asked my mom and I to call the house several times a day and leave a message on her answering machine so Missy would hear Marge’s voice and be calmed by it, so we did that.
