Have a great weekend! I hope everyone is staying well. The E-trio has been sick with a cold this week and using up boxes of tissues and have sore noses from all the blowing. Thank goodness, we have the Costco bulk size of them.

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Yummy! 🐰 🍌💛 I’m hoping you all feel better, and glad Teddy is enjoying his treat!
Thank you!! Teddy is doing great and have been giving us company while we recover.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Eeeks! Hope you all feel better soon!
Thank you!! I hope this weekend we’ll do a lot of recovering. Hope you and your family are well. Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Oh I hope you feel better soon! We get the tissues with lotion added to help with sore noses during cold/flu season.
I hope so too! It feels awful with the congestion and headaches. I know what you mean about the tissues with lotion. I told Chris to get some at Costco and he didn’t get that one. I should have specified!!
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
What a miserable time you’ve had lately! Hoping for better things ahead xx
It’s recovey time this weekend!! Happy Valentine’s Day and hope u r well.
I hope the E-trio is soon over their colds!
The stuffy nose and headaches for me and kids are so stuffed up! Whew…it’s been kind of crazy. We held up while Chris was away on business trip for almost 2 weeks and then Bam! Hopefully, this weekend the trio will do a lot of recovering. Thank you, Liz. Happy valentine’s day!!
You’re welcome, Esther! I hope you had a good Valentine’s Day!
We had a slow and quiet Valentine’s Day! I hope yours was great!!
Yes, it was!
That’s wonderful to hear!
Oh no, I am sorry to hear this … I have finally been out and about the last three days and for once, not joined to the computer at the hip as usual. I hope you are all recovered. Teddy is so cute with those puffy cheeks and enjoying is treat!
It’s been quite a week with Elliot getting sick first, and then Ellis and I caught it. The congestion is awful, but thankfully Ellis is doing well.
Teddy has been quite the trooper and giving us a lot of company even though we can’t let him free roam as much these days. We’re all too tired to keep an eye on him and he gets into small spaces where we can’t find him.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
We’re still recovering! Elliot is getting better faster than us, since he was the first one to get sick. This cold was an unexpected break for us.
Well, that’s good one of the three of you is feeling better. Send Elliot to the kitchen to make chicken soup! Were you scheduled to have “Winter Break” re: school this week or you just made it last week as you all were so sick?
We had a forced break last week with all the sickness. This week we are back to classes and homework. Elliot has more work since he’s in 9th grade now and have lots to turn in. lol. Big adjustment for us homeschoolers.
That’s unfortunate you lost your little Winter break but hopefully you all are feeling better and in six weeks you will have a little Easter break. Yes, 9th grade … lots of homework, term papers and tests. I remember all that, about 57 years ago. Now I feel old!
We are all on the mend, but the congestion and lingering cough persists. I’m thankful that we’re not weak and with a fever. The last 2 days before Chris came home from his business trip, I was just getting sick. I was making dinner and felt lightheaded with my head feeling like it’s floating away. whew…colds are no fun!
That’s good Esther. I have always thought that you never know how good you feel on a normal “non-head cold” day until you get a cold. My mom didn’t want to take anything for a cold as she always worried about getting dizzy and falling and breaking something, especially after the second hip replacement because she was told it could not be replaced again as they had to use bone from the bone bank to build up the area around the new prosthesis. So she would tough it out, but the pharmacist said she could take Delsym as it had nothing that would interfere with any of her meds or make her dizzy or out of it.
Your mom was so strong despite her physical limitations! One hip replacement is so hard but to have 2. Goodness, I think of all the medical trauma and stress she must have experienced at a young age and beyond.
Yes and she was pretty stoic about it all. The second hip replacement was a repair of the first hip replacement which came loose. It came loose at the stem, at the bottom, not in the ball and socket part, which does happen sometimes. That was traumatic for her because they had to use bone from the bone bank and she was told if she ever fell and shattered that hip, it could not be repaired or replaced and she would be wheelchair bound the rest of her life. That surgery was in 1990, so almost 20 years of that fear of falling/damaging it beyond repair.
Sure hope you are all feeling better.
Thank you! Still recovering. Something is going around and many of our friends are sick too. Please stay well!
