My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Headache for sure! I don’t know what got into me to detangle that big ol’ mess. I eventually did finish and Ellis is using that yarn to crochet, but it was a hassle to get done.

    Oh, that’s not fun . . .

It was fun in the beginning and I was sure that I’d get it done in one afternoon. Boy was I wrong! Once I started though, I couldn’t give up. I’m still unsure why I spent all those hours on that thing.

I’ve done that sort of thing on occasion.

Don’t try it again if you can help it!

Yes, that’s what drawers are for. If I don’t open the drawer, I can ignore the knotted mess.

At first glance, I thought it was a dropped bowl of spaghetti! A few weeks ago when it was so brutally cold outside, people were doing photos and posting them wherein you take a bowl of spaghetti outside and stick a fork in the spaghetti and lift the fork up and the fork hovers in midair with spaghetti on it. It looks kind of cool, like modern art. 🙂

I can see how it can look like spaghetti! Ellis was determined to use this ball of yarn, and my OCD went into full effect. It was challenging and entertaining at first until I got stuck midway and had to stop myself from cutting it off midway.

So, you don’t think I am a little crazy – here is a video of what people were doing:

That is wild! So so cold…we Californians would have a fit.

Yes, you would – but I’d never heard of the spaghetti trick in cold weather, just the tossing the water in the air and it evaporates which they also showed in the video. I am grateful for a little break in the bitter cold, but get this … we have had an air quality alert in place from noon Sunday until this evening. We had this unexpected surge in temps, which caused the snow to melt and all the pollutants in the snow released in the atmosphere caused bad air quality – I have never heard of that!

There you go, I thought it was pasta, I guess that shows where my mind is.

I see that now! I did not think of it at all. I was so focused on getting that big lump of yarn into something manageable. My OCD kicked in and I had to stop myself at time from getting my eyes crossed.

I’m with Leanne. I thought it was pasta too at first glance. 😂

Lol. I had no idea that it would look like pasta when I first poste it, but now that it’s been mentioned, I see it!!

Now you’ll never see it the same way again. Funny how that happens. 😂
