Elliot’s Flower of the Day: April 11, 2019

Our afternoon walk yesterday was perfect for observing new spring blooms.: sunny, breezy, and mellow.

I usually take flower pictures but decided it would be fun to switch it up and have my seven-year old take them instead. I handed my phone over to him and he snapped away. It was interesting to see him admire nature, take pictures, and decide which ones were worthy of keeping and others of deleting. Kids grow up so fast! I couldn’t help but reminisce the old days when we used to take nature walks with him in the Ergo carrier. I digress…they bring back pleasant memories for me.

He chose the picture below to post on my blog. I hope you enjoy it!

It’s been titled: “Sun-day Flowers” or “Flowers hug a tree”

Writing and daydreaming have always been two of my favorite things to do. I've been an avid journal writer since junior high school. It was a way for me to survive the complex world of being a Korean-American female straddling two cultures. Journal writing continued through graduate school, but that luxury is now replaced with multitasking to raise and homeschool two young kids. As the self-proclaimed domestic C.E.O. of our home, personal reflection occurs mostly in my subconscious dreams, during solo grocery shopping runs, or when my husband Chris takes the kids to Costco for an afternoon trip.
