sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Thanks Cee for hosting FOTD challenge and thank u readers for stopping by. Hope u know how much I appreciate your support and visit. You are special and awesome! – Esther

Beautiful! There is one in the Park a block away from my house – someone planted it in the “volunteer garden” many years ago and it is huge with many blooms … I know the “trumpets” attract hummingbirds but I must go there too early in the day for hummingbirds and butterflies. Going to make more trips there this year to get pics.

Isn’t the name appropriate for the flower?! It’s a pretty plant that climb and the flowers are large. The hummingbirds could fit in the whole flower; they must love it!

Yes – beautiful flowers and what if they are upside down in the “trumpet” and get stuck? I didn’t write the post but I took pictures of the trumpet vine on the fence my neighbor and I share because I cut it down on my side every year as it climbs up his wall and grows on the wall. But last year I kept it and it grew out of control and I kept moving the hummingbird feeders farther away as it was “reaching out” to them.

This plant is an active climber. If you want a climbing vine, this would be the plant to get.
You make a good point…what if a hummingbird stuck in there?! It didn’t cross my mind.
Birds are out and about these days; busy building their nests.
