This particular rose species reminds me of delicious sorbet ice cream with its rich orange tones. The bloom is high and petals abundant. It’s always a pleasant sight to see on our walks.
This hybrid rose was named after a French comedian named Louis de Funes (1914-1983), who is considered one of French’s favorite actors and known as “the man with forty faces per minute.” (btw, I’ve tried many attempts but couldn’t figure out how to place an accent mark on the “e” of Funes). primitive tech person here

When I need to use one of those special marks, I copy and paste the word.
When I am writing in a Word document, I can insert them using ‘Symbols’.
Me too. I copy and paste the word with the special symbol from another source. For example: Papier-mâché (just copied it in Google and pasted it here). 😊

Great idea! I was tinkering around and couldn’t find a solution. My word document is somehow in Korean and navigating that thing is disaster. I’ll have to ask my husband to do something about that.

Beautiful and yes it does remind me of that dessert too. What I do is copy and paste it from online and put it in the comment … maybe that is lazy, but it works. 🙂

My cheat sheet is growing by the month…when I first started WP writing and figuring out how to post took hours. I almost gave up from sheer frustration.
I have been backing up my blog weekly since I learned how to do it – I learned how to do last year, so never backed it up before then, but I write my posts in Word and save all my photos on a flash drive, but I have to admit, it would not be fun to put Humpty Dumpty back together again if WordPress had an issue at their end.
This is a wonderful and helpful idea! I didn’t think of that; assumption that it’ll always be there.
Do you back up your blog via WP? Wouldn’t it be great if WP had a service to make a hard copy of all one’s posts into a book form? It would be nice to have something tangible like that for all the work put into this thing.

I do back it up via WP – I can send you the directions if you want. I follow a blogger named Hugh (Hugh’s News and Views) and he gives blogging tips and one of them was to back up your blog. You can back up the content which is pretty fast and you get a file sent to your e-mail and it’s good for a week, so I download it and put it on a flash drive. You can also back up your media files. I will send you a separate comment with Hugh’s how to. And a fellow blogger’s wife heard of a service that creates a book from a blog, so she surprised him for his 60th birthday and had that done. He didn’t know and was surprised. I will send you the link to Dave’s post where he talked about it.

Yes, fun to keep … in my case, with all the pictures I have, I’d be in the poorhouse.
And you’d need a lot of shelf space for the books. Same here; it’d be costly to do.
