My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!

Wasp in a birdbath? What is the light around him, the sun? This is an interesting photo Esther.
oh dear, I was responding to a different photo. Doing multiple things at once…not so good at multitasking but I still do it. It’s a bee swimming in a koi pond at a Japanese garden. Thank you! It was really interesting to see the bee floating around.
I didn’t know they could swim and would have assumed they would drown in the water – that’s interesting Esther. I guess he was escaping the fish who were eying him as a potential lunch.
It’s a huge feeder bee. Another blogger Linda mentioned that it’s a feeder bee. Maybe you know her: shoreacres from Texas?
