Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

  1. My mom used to make tapioca pudding and she’d say she had it as a kid in the hospital (she was there from age 11 – 15) … the kids called it fish eyes and glue.

    1. Those kids were clever…I can see how tapioca pudding could look like that. But calling it fish eyes makes me not want to eat it. lol
Wow, your mother spent years in the hospital! That must’ve been stressful years for her during those tender growing years.

      1. My mom never called it tapioca, always fish eyes and glue and I forgot to say they had the pearl tapioca which is what we used to get which are big tapioca that was the size of a pearl.

Yes, four years in a children’s hospital, on a ward floor and several of those years in a body cast – no A/C in hospitals in those days either.
