Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. Thank you! It was at the Christmas Glowfari event at Oakland Zoo. It was an outdoor closed tent with these changing color lights. I think the room had mirrors on the walls too. I was surprised to have caught the different colors on photo;

    1. They are installed lights in a temporary room at Glowfari at Oakland Zoo. It was mesmerizing to look at them… would’ve enjoyed it more if there weren’t so many people. But the zoo was closed for all of January because of a sinkhole from the rains… near the entrance.

  1. Wow! How very beautiful, Esther! Where do you start in a new friend’s blog? I went to your About and was awed at what I read there. Talk about challenges! I know that when life hands them out there’s nothing for it but to deal with them, but goodness, you’ve done that big time. I’m off to delve a little more. Speak soon!

    1. Thank you Jo for your kind words and for checking out my blog! It does seem daunting when you try to find out more about a blog and sometimes the process can just wear you out. I hope that doesn’t happen to you. Don’t worry about it. Just hop on and you’ll get to learn more about my peeps and life. Thankful you are here.
      Yes, life has handed me some challenges, more than I felt I could handle, but I’ve learned and grown so much through them…with lots of groans and moans. This blogging community has helped me immensely through the tough times with support and encouragement.

      1. I read a few of your exchanges with Linda and was set to comment but couldn’t.
        Full of admiration for the way you dealt with Elliot’s elbow incident. Boys will be boys and all that but, give me strength! Fortunately, He did!

      2. Hmmm, sometimes WP has that issue. At one point, all of Linda’s comments were going to spam. So she had to tell me in another comment.
        You’re right…boys will be boys with all the rough and tumble. Thankfully, no lasting side effects. He said the sling was nice to wear when the weather was cold but threw it off after a week. It gets in the way of video gaming.
