Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. Need some fresh air and exercise. It’s not a long walk on this path, so it gives us just the right amount of walking for the whole family. Last time at this place, I stepped on dog poop and didn’t realize it. Elliot put a grocery bag over each of my shoes for the ride home. lol.

      1. I remember you saying that about the dog poop. I had to get an extra pair of shoes put into the trunk for mud issues to not bring it home. Mud is bad enough, poop is 10X worse!

      2. Yes, I took an old pair of my walking shoes. We had a solid day of rain and will have some rain tomorrow, then rain Sunday through Tuesday – the larger parks with rustic trails will be muddy for weeks. We have goose poop on the perimeter path too, especially once the goslings arrive.

      3. Goose poop is inevitable. Watch out for those spots…
I thought our rainy season was over, but we’re supposed to have cooler weather and rain this coming week. Very unusual weather for us and you too. Stay on the trails!

      4. What a year of tempestuous weather! Stay safe and hope your allergies are not flaring up so much.
We have been using Flonase and eye drops. Ellis’ eyes are puffed up and the eye drops aren’t helping. Probably will have to make a doctor visit. She keeps rubbing it and it gets redder and puffier. Guess what? For my allergies, the doctor gave me steroid ear drops. It helps with the coughing and soar throat but it came with a nice price tag of $90. geesh.

      5. I thought it weird too. But it helps with the nighttime coughing, congestion, and ear itch. I was shocked when I got the price tag…and this is the generic kind.
It’s not easy putting in 3 drops into each ear, and the first night I put in way more by accident. Chris does it for me, but Elliot loves to do it. SO that’s his job now until Saturday.

      6. Generic medicine that much – poor you! No, I guess you would need another person. I always did my mom glaucoma drops in her eyes twice a day. She used them faithfully to thwart getting glaucoma as she was bordering.
