My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Oh my – what a day you had! Our ducklings are not here yet – another month maybe. Our goslings are here at Council Point Park. I saw 13 yesterday. Is this at the pond where you have been going?
We found ducklings this spring! It was unexpected and you should have seen our surprise. No, this is not a pond but a creek. I didn’t know the creek crossed through this trail.
I hope you get to meet some ducklings soon!
Ducklings and goslings are the sweetest – you are lucky to have found those ducklings. I’ve only seen ducklings once at Council Point Park and got pictures of them. I usually see them at Heritage Park as they hang out at Coan Lake. I hope get some soon too.
Now that we saw one family…I hope we can see more in other areas. We’ll keep our eyes open.
You get good luck with baby animals and animals making expressive movements. Pretty sure you’ll run into them soon enough!

Fascinating 🦆
So cute to see!
What fun! As it happens, ducklings like this swim around the same marina where I photographed the herons. Babies abound at this time of year!
Awww, cute . . .
