My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Who thought of giving a light in umbrella?
Interesting
Lol, I got a hiking headlamp for the kids. This would help them to see in tune dark. But I can see how you’d think the umbrella had a lamp.

Thank you Anita, nice to make your acquaintance!
Eww, creepy crawlies and slime!
We could not believe how many we saw in the rain! Where did they come from and in the morning, they have all disappeared. Slimy and gross, and a little smelly they are.
Ick.
Agree.!
I like the iridescent trails the slugs leave on sidewalks too!
You should have seen how many slugs came out that night! They have a peculiar smell to them; not so pleasant, kind of like raw fish. But they are fascinating to look at.
Kiddos did some research on them and slugs do not have a shell like snails, but they have an internal shell. Wild stuff!
Yes, slugs are strange and I bought into the whole idea of putting out the beer-filled containers to trap and drown them to keep from eating the plant leaves. No, it did not work and the backyard smelled of stale beer and rotting slug bodies.
