sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

These intertwined and complex roots. They’ve created root tunnels.
New growth after harsh pruning. With these Sea Lavender plants, I’ve noticed gardeners chop it down to its roots like this. Dramatic haircut.
Despite the cut, they are growing in and creating more root connections.
Once the leaves grow in, roots get covered by the ground and its long leaves. Its spray of little flowers will be next to arrive.

Thanks Cee for hosting the challenge! Also thank you dear readers for stopping by! It’s always a pleasure to see you here and it makes me happy to share my nature finds with you. They get to be enjoyed by other nature lovers like me.

I like the quote you found. These sea lavenders are very interesting. 😀

Thank you Cee! We have a lot of sea lavenders where we live…it must be an easy plant for gardeners to grow and they take up a large area of space. But when it grows out of control, they are chopped like this. It’s disconcerting to see them like this, but give it a month or two, and they’re thriving again,

Must be amazing to see them come alive again 😀

Before you know it, they are thriving and lush looking. Leaves get tall and hang over the sides…maybe that’s why the gardeners chop them off for new growth.
