Little did I think that we’d see the skunk, too! Wow, this is the first time we saw a live one. Amazing.

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Ew! Not Pepé Le Pew!
Lol. No thank u!
😀
Is it Petunia a/k/a Miss Skunk from Bambi?
We named it Bert. It must have a home near our house because we’ve seen it wandering around 2 night in a row. It minds its own business and plops around the grass and bushes.
Looking up how to handle a skunk if it chases you or gets up close, you’re supposed to stay calm and slowly walk away. If they do decide to spray, look away and close your eyes. Yikes! It’ll not come to that, but kids were interested to know how to deal with a skunk in the neighborhood. Lol.
Wow – I didn’t know that. I saw one in the woods one day, but it was a goner. Good that it is so calm – I wouldn’t want you to buy a bathtub full of tomato juice to bathe in … I guess that only works for dog fur. 🙂
We saw Bert outside again this evening. He was frolicking in the grass and just hanging out. Thankfully, we have had no close interactions!
If you get sprayed, I think you can use hydrogen peroxide or some solution. Don’t you think Amazon might sell something for that?! lol. I had no idea about the tomato juice for dogs. I bet they’d despise that.
How cool is that? Bert must not feel threatened and has decided to live in the ‘hood forever. I didn’t know about the hydrogen peroxide for humans and it beats tomato juice!
How fun! As long as you’re not in the spray zone!
We couldn’t believe it. You hear about skunks, but rarely do you see them up close.
Yep, not getting close!
I invite you to go and say it Hi!!
It smell pleasant like a fresh rose on rainy day
No thanks…don’t want to be best buddies with a skunk. lol
