sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Cee, thank you for hosting! Dear readers, so happy to see you here and thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful Friday and a good start to the weekend.

Starting off well and eating way too much chocolate. When there’s much to do, I stress eat and that’s usually sweet stuff. Ahhhhhhhh!

That’s good, but why you have stress. Everyday I eating banana!. I few eating chocolate. Ahhh. What time now there?

So smart to eat more bananas and less chocolate!! I need more self control, but I have a major sweet tooth.
It’s not stress but tiredness and pressure to homeschool my kids well and that means I have to keep studying myself. then, do housework and all that good stuff moms do.

A sweet flower and sweet photobomb – Ellis’ mask is bright like a flower!

Thanks, Linda! She has a bunch of colorful masks from a kid’s mask set from Amazon. Do you know Elliot cannot wear disposable masks? Pediatrician said that because it’s a synthetic material, it triggers eczema on his face in the shape of a mask. He only wears cloth now. I had no idea this was an issue until he started breaking out all of a sudden.

Interesting about the masks breaking out Elliot’s face with eczema. I just bought some more N–95 masks due to Covid ramping up and I can’t get a booster until November. When I placed the order from Amazon, some reviewer had said to blow on the inside of the mask before wearing them as there were particles … wasn’t happy to hear that because this brand has been my go-too mask for excursions like stores, etc. and I had never done that before. Yikes!

Covid is ramping up in San Jose too! Some of our church friends got it recently. I just ordered the free government testing kits. Did you order yours? Each household gets 4 kits.
I hope all of us don’t have to use those kits!! It’s like masking up is a part of life now, along with the fogging glasses.
I wouldn’t be too happy either to know that particles are inside the masks, but it seems inevitable. I just wear the blue surgical masks. I have two other colors in black and white but I can hardly breathe in them. So tight around the mouth and nose area.

I did order them yesterday Esther, but thanks for telling me. I also hope I don’t have to use the kits. I can’t go for my Covid booster til mid-November as I got the last one in mid-May. I h ate the fogging glasses too. I use “FogAway Antifog Spray” but it doesn’t always work so great and I wear an N95 mask if I go to the grocery store or on errands … yes hot in the Summer especially.
