sing like wildflowers
My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

That makes sense – he’ll have to admire the family decor instead. I like your new profile pic Esther.
Dart was wondering what all the clanking sound was about. lol. I’m glad you like the profile pic. I felt it was time to change!
Yes, Dart thought those live crickets and mealworms were ganging up on him! I always like your B&W photos so I really liked this profile pic. Did you ever get your phone repaired or are you still using Ellis’ phone?
He seemed so startled and when he does, his breathing gets fast and labored! Two nights ago, we had to give him a warm bath soak, which he despised. Doing that allows him to soothe his tummy and lick the water on the glass; he doesn’t drink water even though he has access to fresh water everyday.
Like we would if something startled us I guess and I have to tell you that I never would have thought having a Lizard Gecko would be so involved. I am surprised about that. I figured you had the habitat and that was it – this is quite involved.
The ornaments look so festive but the clanking would have probably startled me too. 😏
Poor Dart! He’d poke his head out of his coconut hut, hear the clank, and then dart inside right away.
Snowflakes made of folded paper or cut felt would do the trick!
Those are great ideas! I did not even consider those alternatives. Thank you. 🙂
As someone who grew up in the late 40s and 50s, I know all kinds of tricks! Paper chains! Stringing cranberries and popcorn! Cutting cellophane sheets to make ‘stained glass’ windows!
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing with me.
Paper chains are fun too. At Target, they were selling a craft kit for that for Christmas. Those are all cool tricks that kids still make.
The ornaments made for an excellent holiday photograph of you Darling Dart, even for only one day! Your smile is the biggest brightest I have ever seen on you. Your skin is looking healthy! Why did you need a temporary tank, Darling Dart?
Thank you, Auntie TD! The sounds made me jump and into my coconut hole I hide. Mama put me in a temporary tank, because she was worried I got too cold in my bigger tank. But I think she just likes me to hang out in the living room with everyone. It gets cold for a gecko! I got moved around a lot and the heater thing blocks my view and then it’s gone and then it’s there again. I just go into my tree and nap. How’s my Yorkie friend doing?
Yeah, yeah, Darling Dart I’m sure your Mama loves you hanging out with them in the living room! Just remember that Mama’s do all they can to keep our precious pets warm! Yorkie has a way with me to snuggle up in my bed to keep her warm during the day. Eventually we both need our good zzzz’s and require our separate beds at night. Yorkie is happy in her own bed tonight sleeping like a little angel.
Glad to know that those nosy, nosy, nosy ornaments were removed! That would get on my nerves Darling Dart. ❤️🦎
Give him crickets shape ornament!!
Would be fun
That’s an idea! May not be ornaments for long. lol
