sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

This scraping behavior against a textured object is a sign that he started the shedding process. It always starts with the head. Do you see the loose skin on his upper arm and his overall papery white skin? They appear saggy around his arms and by his ears.
In this picture, he pulled off the shed from his arm and is eating it. He eats it as he pulls it off with his mouth; it has nutrients that will help his new skin growth. Today’s shedding process took about thirty minutes, which seems to be the average time. Also, out in the wild, geckos eat all of their shed to avoid detection from predators.
