Hi everyone,
Merry Christmas Eve! Ellis doing better today, and if she has a good night sleep without any retching or throw up, we’ll be homebound tomorrow.
I wanted to write an update today, but days’ worth of sleep deprivation caught up with me this afternoon. Ellis is finally off the IV and eating a regular diet. In order for discharge, Ellis needs to show that she can fully eat and drink and not get sick. That was and continues to be our mission for the day!

Have a wonderful Christmas morning, and take care!

Thank you, Raj! It was a big step for Ellis to get off the IV completely and to try to eat and drink by mouth. They kept the IV line in till we left in case she needed it. But she didn’t!
I wish that beautiful and spacious pavilion was our house yard, but it’s the hospital pavilion where kids (can play on the playground and people can sit and get some fresh air.
Thank you for your Christmas wishes!! We are so thankful to be home and to have come home on Christmas evening. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas too. ๐ God bless you too.

Thank you, Devang! The dynamic duo are back in operation. It was hard on the whole family to go through it again, but we are so thankful it’s behind us and Ellis is feeling better. In total recovery mode.
Glad to hear that
Nothing can stop the dynamic duo
I hopped online to see if there was an update on Ellis. Fingers crossed discharge day is today! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Thank you, Linda! It was wonderful to still spend the Christmas evening at home. Elliot was waiting for us all day and asking Chris when we’d be coming home. Ellis was asking me all day too. It was a limbo day.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!! Hugs. Thank you for the sweet emails.
Glad it worked out in the end Esther. I figured when you didn’t do a “report” that things were finally looking up. Elliot is the sweet big brother that I wish I could have had.

I remembered your comment throughout the day!! You’re right. Christmas is for miracles and we got one! I was taken aback that we were back at the hospital so soon, but you never know why things happen except that you have to trust God through it all.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
