All the hiccups, hospital stays, and life in general in the past 2 months have caught up with me finally. I thought I was going to be okay physically, but my body is sternly lecturing me to take a breather. What an exhausting season it’s been. Just this week, I had 3 doctor’s appointments (1 for Elliot and 2 for Ellis) and 2 harried pharmacy visits for each kid.
I was so moved when the pharmacy employee brought a bagful of medicine for me to Starbucks yesterday when I was panicking after what the pediatrician said. If Ellis starts to desat below 90, use the nebulizer with steroids. If that doesn’t work, go to the ER. Nooooo, the word ER gives me frights. Ellis was looking weary too while waiting at the pharmacy, so my stress was skyrocketing, and we went to get a drink at Starbucks next door. It was very thoughtful of her to bring it to us…it helped a weary mom’s soul.
I’m forcing myself to take a step back even though there’s a part of me says not to. So, for the next 2 weeks or so, I’ll post and reply to comments less often, but I’ll try to read and keep up with your awesome blogs as much as I can.
Thanks, everyone, for understanding, and have a great weekend! I’ll be back soon. Till then, God bless you and stay well.

Honestly, don’t put any more stress on yourself, Esther. You’ve had a horrendous few months, and in some ways the blogging support has been a comfort to you. But blog writing should be spontaneous and enjoyable. Give yourself some time just to relax with your family.
Thank you,Jo! I agree with all you said. And the blogging community support has been invaluable for me, and I’m so thankful for them. Kept me going when I was just mad dashing from one thing to the next. I’ll be back with more more energy soon π
Please take all the time you need to take care of yourself, Esther. We’ll still be here when you get back.
Have a wonderful blog vacation with lots of self-care Esther!
Whew! I agree you have been so stressed and busy for awhile. Take some time for relaxing and taking care of yourself and the family. (((hugs <3 )))
Praying for you and your family. Take whatever time you need. We will be here when you come back.
It’s a wise choice you’ve made. When you’re moved to come back, we’ll still be here! Give the kiddos my best — and Dart, too!
Keeping you all in prayers, Esther β₯οΈππ I am believing for the Lordβs grace for total healing and rest β₯οΈππ
No worries, as your reason to hit the brakes on blogging for now is perfectly understandable. Terribly sorry to hear of what’s happening to your kids as of late. Prayers promised. π
Praying you a restorative break. Take good care of you!
I take blogging breaks all the time. Please take as much time as you need to care for yourself and your family, Esther!
Well, if anyone deserves a break from blogging (or everything) it is you Esther. You and Chris have had your share of worries about Ellis the past few months and now your recent post with both kids sick. You need to take care of you too … you’re running ragged right now. I hope it’s a quick recovery for both kids and a time for a little R&R for you … some quiet time, maybe some good books or a few good movies for all three of you to kick back and get you on an even keel again. Take care.
You don’t took the trees & mind always God with you. God blessing! I praying for you and your family. Please take as much time as you need to care for yourself and your family, Esther!
Quite understandable, Esther. Your family must come first. Stay safe and well, my friend. π
I totally understand, take as much time as you need. Sending hugs π€
